Deirdre Cavener PhD, an accomplished professional with a unique blend of skills and experiences that combine the science of technology with the unknown of Metaphysics. Bridging that gap has been a lifelong adventure.

With Ideation, Strategy, and Maximizer as her top strengths from the StrengthsFinder assessment, Deirdre has been able to excel in a variety of roles and industries throughout her career. She is open-minded, loves learning and weaving skills from different industries together and can pull ideas out of space that are new, innovative and solutions oriented. Simplicity, Patience and Efficiency are always in her toolbox.

Deirdre’s career in technology began at the age of 15, where she discovered her passion for computers and programming. By the time she was 19 she ran a computer department with a staff of 80 people below her. Much of her success came because of her human skillset. She was always the Mother Archetype on her team and liason / interpretor between upper management and the programmers. She could speak geek and business, a valuable asset to any organization.

She went on to earn a B.A. in Management Information Systems where she graduated Summa Cum Laude while being the youngest and only undergraduate to be asked invited to be a Statistics II Teaching assistant, running the class, playing videos and grading tests. After graduation she accepted a faculty position at the University of South FL. She honed her skills in ideation, developing innovative approaches to writing software for Florida Mental Health Institute and training staff at facilities across Florida. She was a speaker at the Behavioral Healthcare conference in Orlando FL.

After learning all she could at USF she left the security and benefits to launch into the I.T. Consulting world. She became a Microsoft Certified Professional in analyzing requirements and defining solution architecture, the most difficult test in Microsoft’s portfolio.

Deirdre’s success as a consultant led to her being promoted to Vice President of Digital Development, where she continued to excel in developing and implementing successful strategies for the Clearwater company. However, she could see the potential of the Internet and wanted to let her entrepreneurial spirit out of the Corporate Cage. July 9, 2009 she began development of the first local directory in Tampa Bay FL. People called her crazy, thought her vision of the Internet was absolutely insane … they were wrong!

Working with clients like ING Advisors Network, Cigarette Racing Team, NY First Responders and others expanded her knowledge base.

In her time as an entrepreneur, Deirdre continued to refine her strengths in ideation, strategy, and maximizer, leveraging these skills to develop innovative products and services that helped her clients achieve their goals.

Always seeking to expand her knowledge and expertise, Deirdre returned to academia and earned a PhD in Metaphysics, further broadening her skill set and knowledge base. “Now each side of my brain has a degree!”

Approaching 59 and still full of the energy, vitality and vision she is working on SageOhm.com a website dedicated to disseminating the experience she and other Wise Elders have to share with the younger generations. They are all pre-tech and remember powerful and important things that balance the tech with the analog. Concerned that many of the younger generation don’t know how to fix, troubleshoot, build or doing anything with their hands has a lot brewing in the future of SageOhm.

A.I. ChatGPT and A.I. Art Generation reignited her tech enthusiasm. It had been a long time since something innovative and game changing landed on the tech landscape. She has trained both of her granddaughters, ages 8 and 7, on the technology and enjoys guiding them on the amazing way those tools can open and magnify imagination and creativity while putting the mechanical, often dreaded task of grammar, style, etc. in the A.I.’s wheelhouse leaving nothing but creativity on the task list.

Her best friends says that her brain was the first AI. Whatever you asked it there was always a rapid fire solution.

Deirdre is dedicated to sharing her 40+ years of experience in technology, empowerment, healing, and growth with others who are ready to make a change. 2023 is a year of big change … the launch of SageOhm.com, the launch of the R.V. after spending 27 years in suburbia Deirdre is pulling anchor, giving everything away that doesn’t hold a sacred memory and hitting the road for adventures unknow. Perfect timing for the Age of Air, Aquarius that began in March of 2023. She will be writing, mentoring, teaching.
